Aftercare

Your animal will often feel slightly tired, stiff and sore the day after being manipulated so to let this pass and in order to maximise the treatment you will usually be asked to allow at least one day off exercise subsequent to treatment. This will then be followed by a gradual return to their normal workload over the next 5 – 7 days. Sometimes you may also be asked to refrain from certain activities such as jumping/lateral work/climbing stairs etc. for this time.

These programmes are tailored to your animals individual requirements to aid a speedy recovery and help prevent further issues.

The number of treatments each animal requires can vary depending on the nature of their complaint. Commonly, an initial and one follow up treatment are sufficient to improve the condition. Occasionally more treatments may be required.

It is highly beneficial and we do recommend that you continue with maintenance check ups at regular intervals to help prevent problems from reoccurring and ensuring your animals continued good health.
